Quiet Charge and Do Not Disturb Mode
Quiet Charge and Do Not Disturb features allow you
to disable the reception from regular two-way calls,
while still receiving weather alerts and receiving and
transmitting emergency alerts.
These features provide peace of mind at night
because you can receive important weather alerts,
but you are not disturbed by incoming radio chatter.
Motorola Solutions recommends that you leave the
radio plugged in and turned on.
Note:
These features only work in areas that have weather
service (available in USA and Canada only).
Before you activate these features, ensure that you have
tuned to the correct weather channel for your area and
have turned on the weather alert feature in the weather
menu (see “Setting the Weather Channel on page 25,
“Weather Channels and Frequencies” on page 25, and
“Receiving Weather Alert in FM Mode” on page 27)
Quiet Charge is not available for T478 radios.
Do Not Disturb mode is available for T478 radios only.
Activating Quiet Charge
1.
Press Menu/Lock button 10 times until appears
on the display. The current setting flashes.
2.
Press or to select On or Off.
3.
Press the PTT button or Menu/Lock button to set.
Entering Do Not Disturb Mode
1.
From Two-Way mode, press Mode button three
times to enter Do Not Disturb Mode. The is shown.
2.
To exit the Do Not Disturb mode, press the mode button
to go back to 2-Way mode.
Note: To switch out of Do Not Disturb mode, press
the
PTT
button to start transmission. The
radio temporarily switches to 2-Way mode.
The radio automatically reverts to Do Not
Disturb mode five minutes after you release
the PTT button.
FM Receiver
Your radio can tune to receive FM frequencies
ranges from 87.5 MHz to 108 MHz.
Note: FM Receiver is only for T478 radios only.
Entering FM Mode
1.
Using the mode button, press Mode button twice to
enter FM mode. The is shown.
2.
The last set frequency is displayed.

while charging, your charger might interfere
