Emergency Call
Your service provider programs one or more emergency
phone numbers, such as 911 or 112, which you can call.
Note: Emergency numbers vary by country. Your HC700 pre-
programmed emergency number(s) may not work in all loca-
tions, and sometimes an emergency call cannot be placed
due to network, environmental or interference issues.
To place an emergency call:
1. If HC700 is in Suspend (screen is blank), press briefly on
the Power button.
2. Tap Start and select Phone form the menu (see
upper, left-hand side of the screen).
3. Dial the emergency number by tapping the on-screen
keys.
4. Press the on-screen Talk key to call the emergency num-
ber.
Important Notes:
Before the call can be made, your HC700 must have the
phone turned on. If you dial 911 and the phone is turned off,
you will see a prompt advising you to turn on the phone – tap
Yes and again tap Talk to call the emergency number.
If your HC700 does not have a SIM card installed, you will
see the following prompt:
“Unknown SIM status.
Only emergency call can be made without a PIN” – Dial
again the emergency number and than tap Talk to call emer-
gency.
