19 19 General Radio Features Operation Low-Battery Alert (Programmable) The radio will emit an alert tone to indicate a low-battery condition if the battery voltage falls below the low-voltage level. When the radio is transmitting, the tone is emitted when the PTT is released; when the radio is receiving, the tone is emitted when the low-battery condition is detected. Variable RF Power Level VHF and UHF radios can have more than one power level.
