TURN ON YOUR SMARTPHONE FOR THE FIRST TIME It’s important to fully charge the battery before turning on your smartphone. 1 Press and hold Power on top of your smartphone. 2 Select a language. 3 Read and accept the Motorola agreement. 4 Follow the setup wizard to create or log in to your Google™ Gmail™ account. SET UP YOUR SMARTPHONE When you turn on your smartphone for the first time, you can quickly set up various accounts such as Google™, Corporate Sync, and email, and sign in to social networking sites. BACKUP ASSISTANT™ Backup Assistant is a free service from Verizon Wireless that saves your smartphone’s contacts to a secure server. If your smartphone is lost or damaged, or if you upgrade to a new smartphone, Backup Assistant will restore your contacts.
