Security Screen lock help keep your phone safe To prevent accidental touches, you can make the screen Settings lock when it goes to sleep. To set the password, touch Apps > Settings > Security & Screen Lock > Screen lock > Password. Gmail account when you registered your device. You will then be able to create a new pattern and unlock your device. Enter a password (up to eight characters), then confirm it. If you forget your PIN or password, contact your service provider to have your device factory reset. When prompted, enter the password to unlock the phone. Warning: A factory reset will delete all data on your phone.
