Group Calls
Note: Selective Dynamic Group Calling (SDGC)
may not be offered by your service
provider.
Your phone gives you 2 ways to call more than one
Private ID at once:
• Group calls — calls to a Talkgroup
• Selective Dynamic Group calls — calls to a SDG
list
Note: In order to store SDG lists to your i580,
you must use a SDG-capable SIM card.
For more information about SDG-capable
SIM cards, contact your service provider.
SDG lists created with your i580 phone
are not readable by an older iDEN
SIM-based phone.
Group Calls
A group call is similar to a Private call, but is made
to all members of a Talkgroup at once. A Talkgroup
is a predetermined group of your service provider’s
customers.
Before you can make or receive group calls, a
Talkgroup must be established. After the Talkgroup
is established, you must join the Talkgroup.
