Installing the Handsfree Kit Caution: An air bag inflates with great force. DO NOT place objects, including communication equipment, in the area over the air bag or in the air bag deployment area. If the communication equipment is improperly installed and the air bag inflates, serious injury could occur. Installing the Handsfree Kit • Only qualified personnel should install this car kit. If necessary, contact the vehicle manufacturer for air bag information specific to the vehicle.
For optimal Bluetooth® performance, mount the electronic module in a central location within the vehicle. Do not place it behind or within large areas of metal. User Interface Module The User Interface Module (UIM) cable can be mounted in several ways to provide a safe and comfortable environment for use. The location of the electronic module MUST NOT interfere with deployment of the vehicles air bags. Do NOT locate the electronic module in the vehicle’s trunk (boot).
IHF1000 System Diagram 3 Connect the RED positive battery lead to a point in the vehicle’s fuse box that is fused at 5 amp. User Interface Module (UIM) 4 Connect the BLACK ground wire to the vehicle chassis. Interface Cable 5 Inspect all connections.
Installing the User Interface Module • Locate the microphone no more than 16 inches (40 cm) from the driver's mouth and out of direct air flow from vent or defrost. 1 Remove the backing of the tape on the bottom of the User Interface Module (UIM). • Mount the microphone firmly so that vibrations do not affect audio quality. Caution: The location of the microphone MUST NOT interfere with the vehicle’s air bag deployment. 3 Connect the microphone to the interface cable.

Placing a Call with the Car Kit Calling with a Whole Number Action 1 Press the TALK button. 2 When prompted, say “Dial Number.” To place a call, you must first establish a Bluetooth® link between the car kit and your phone (see page 22). You can place a call with the car kit in these ways: The system responds: Number please?. 3 Dictate the phone number as a single set of digits (without pauses between digits). • Dial a number from the phone. • Digit dial with Speech recognition.
To delete a phone number segment, say “Clear” when prompted for the next segment. The system responds Last String Cleared [Last Entry Cleared], echoes any remaining segments, and waits for you to dictate a new segment. Action 2 When prompted, say “Phone voice tag [Phone Voice Name].” Note: The voice tag must already be stored in the phone. To clear all phone number segments dictated so far, say “Clear All” when prompted for the next segment.
Ending a Call Using the Redial Command Action 1 Press the TALK button. 2 When prompted, say “Redial”. Using the Phone Action Press your phone’s End or Hang up key (depending on your phone model). The system responds: Redialing. You can also redial the last number by pressing the ANSWER button. Using the UIM Action Press the END button. If Caller ID is not available: • The system plays the in-band ring tone phone supports it.
Rejecting a Call From Your Phone to the Car Kit Action Press and hold the ANSWER button. To reject a call while the phone is ringing: Action Press the END button on the UIM. The system responds: Call rejected. or Turn ON the vehicle ignition. or or Press the TALK button. When prompted, say “Hands Free mode.” Press your phone’s IGNORE key (may be a soft key, depending on phone model) or your phone’s End or Hang up key. The system responds: Call ended.
Call Waiting Managing the Contact List When you are on a call, an audible beep signals a 2nd call. You can store a list of names and phone numbers in your car kit’s contact list. The list can include up to 20 entries. Action Press and release the ANSWER button to place the 1st call on hold and answer the incoming call. Adding an Entry Action 1 Press the TALK button. 2 When prompted, say “Contact List.” 3 If the system responds: Contact list is empty. Do you wish to add a contact?, say “Yes.

Announcing a Caller Selecting a Language To turn the Caller Announce function On or Off: Note: When you change your system’s language, all contacts in your Contacts list are deleted. Instalación del kit de manos libres Precaución: Un airbag se infla con mucha fuerza. NO coloque ningún objeto, incluyendo el equipo de comunicaciones, sobre la zona del airbag o en la zona de despliegue del mismo. Sí se instala de forma inadecuada el equipo de comunicaciones y el airbag se infla, se pueden producir graves lesiones. Instalación del kit de manos libres • Este kit para coche podrá ser instalado únicamente por personal cualificado.
Módulo electrónico Nota: El audio del sistema inalámbrico está optimizado para un altavoz externo. Si redirige la salida de audio al sistema de sonido del vehículo puede alterarse el rendimiento del audio inalámbrico. Puede colocar el módulo electrónico en cualquier lugar dentro del vehículo, para que sea más sencillo realizar la conexión entre el cable de la interfaz y el resto de los componentes del sistema.

Instalación del Módulo de la interfaz de usuario • Oriente el micrófono directamente hacia el conductor. El frontal del micro deberá apuntar al conductor. El cable irá por detrás del micro. 1 Retire la parte posterior de la cinta situada en la parte inferior del Módulo de la interfaz de usuario (UIM). • Coloque el micrófono firmemente para que las vibraciones no afecten a la calidad del sonido. Precaución: La ubicación del micrófono NO DEBE interferir con el despliegue de los airbags del vehículo.
Utilización del kit para coche Pulsar y soltar Pulse y suelte el botón HABLAR para iniciar una sesión de reconocimiento del habla (SR). Cuando inicie una sesión de SR, escuchará una indicación y luego un breve pitido. El pitido (también conocido como indicador de escucha), le indica que el sistema está esperando una orden verbal.

Obtener ayuda Sincronización inicial Sí está aprendiendo a utilizar el sistema, o si necesita recordar cualquier cosa, diga “Ayuda.” El sistema incluye mensajes de ayuda para cada menú. Nota: Utilice este procedimiento SÓLO si no hay ningún teléfono sincronizado con el sistema. Teniendo el teléfono y el kit para coche cerca uno del otro: También puede decir “Repetir” en cualquier momento que se le pregunte Sí o No. El sistema repetirá la pregunta. Acción 1 Pulse el botón HABLAR.
Sincronizaciones adicionales Selección de un teléfono Para sincronizar otros teléfonos con el sistema, y teniendo el kit para coche y el teléfono cerca uno del otro: Teniendo el teléfono y el kit para coche cerca uno del otro: Acción 1 Pulse el botón HABLAR. 2 Cuando se le solicite, diga “Menú Configuración”. Eliminación del teléfono del kit para coche Realizar una llamada con el kit para coche Eliminación de un teléfono conectado Para realizar una llamada, primero debe establecer un enlace Bluetooth® entre el kit para coche y el teléfono (consulte la página 233). Acción 1 Pulse el botón HABLAR. 2 Cuando se le solicite, diga “Menú Configuración”. Puede realizar una llamada con el kit para coche de las siguientes formas: El sistema responderá: Menú Configuración. Por favor, diga una clave.
Nota: Diga los números como dígitos continuos. Por ejemplo, puede dictar 555-2211 diciendo “5-5-5-2-2-1-1”, no “5-5-5-veintidós-once”. Acción 4 Dicte el siguiente grupo de dígitos. El sistema recitará los dígitos que ha escuchado. Llamar utilizando un número completo Repita este paso hasta que haya completado el número de teléfono. 5 Cuando el sistema haya recitado el número completo, diga “Marcar”, y el sistema responderá: Marcando. Acción 1 Pulse el botón HABLAR.
Marcar un número utilizando las etiquetas de voz del teléfono Nota: Diga los números de marcación rápida como dígitos continuos. Por ejemplo, dicte la posición de marcado rápido 22 como “2-2”, no como “veintidós”. Acción 1 Pulse el botón HABLAR. 2 Cuando se le solicite, diga “Etiqueta de voz del móvil”. Utilizar el comando Rellamada Acción 1 Pulse el botón HABLAR. 2 Cuando se le solicite, diga “Rellamada”. Nota: La etiqueta de voz debe estar almacenada previamente en el teléfono.
Mediante el comando Finalizar llamada Para responder a una llamada entrante: Acción Pulse el botón CONTESTAR. Acción 1 Pulse el botón HABLAR. 2 Cuando se le solicite, diga “Colgar”. El sistema responderá: Llamada finalizada. o bien Pulse la tecla Enviar, Aceptar, Contestar o Sí del teléfono (dependiendo del modelo de teléfono), tal y como haría para responder a una llamada en modo de privacidad.
Transferir una llamada Silenciar y volver a dar sonido a una llamada Desde el kit para coche a su teléfono Mediante el UIM Acción Mantenga pulsado el botón CONTESTAR. Acción Para silenciar el micrófono durante una llamada, mantenga pulsado el botón de volumen ARRIBA o ABAJO. Para volver a dar sonido al micrófono, pulse el botón de volumen ARRIBA o ABAJO. o bien Apague el coche (si el teléfono le pide que cambie al modo auricular, pulse Sí).
Nota: Sí no pulsa el botón CONTESTAR, la llamada entrante será rechazada automáticamente y transferida al buzón de voz (en caso de estar configurado en el teléfono). Acción 3 Sí el sistema responde: Lista de contactos vacía. ¿desea añadir un contacto?, diga “Sí”. o bien Envío de tonos DTMF Sí el sistema responde: Lista de contactos. Por favor, diga una clave., diga “Añadir contacto.” 4 Cuando el sistema responda: Diga el nombre, diga el nombre del contacto que desea guardar.
Mostrar listado con las entradas Acción 6 Cuando haya introducido correctamente todo el número de teléfono, diga “Guardar”. Acción 1 Pulse el botón HABLAR. 2 Cuando se le solicite, diga “Lista de contactos”. 3 Sí el sistema responde: Lista de contactos. Por favor, diga una clave., diga “Lista de contactos.”. El sistema empezará a mostrar la lista de las entradas almacenadas. El sistema responderá: Contacto añadido. ¿Desea añadir otro contacto? 7 Diga “No” para volver al estado de listo del sistema.
Indicadores de sonido Acción 2 Cuando se le solicite, diga “Menú Configuración”. 3 Diga “Indicadores activados” o “Indicadores desactivados”. Cuando el sistema no está en mitad de una llamada o con una sesión de SR activa, puede escuchar los siguientes indicadores de sonido: El sistema responderá: Indicadores activados o Indicadores desactivados. Para activar o desactivar la función de anuncio del interlocutor: Carga de pila de móvil baja.
Acción 2 Use los botones de volumen ARRIBA/ABAJO para desplazarse por las opciones de idioma. Sí necesita ayuda A medida que se desplaza por los idiomas, el sistema reproducirá una indicación en dicho idioma (por ejemplo: Español. Para elegir este idioma, vuelva a encender el vehículo). 3 Cuando haya seleccionado el idioma deseado, apague el vehículo. Conexiones de la alimentación La batería, la toma de tierra y el encendido se deben conectar independientemente de las conexiones de audio que se estén utilizando. Sí está utilizando la radio y el altavoz del vehículo en vez del altavoz externo, debe conectar la toma de audio (+/-) a la toma de la radio del vehículo. Nota: el audio del sistema de manos libres está optimizado para un altavoz externo.
