4.3.2 Deleting all messages through the handset
1. Press MENU and then VOL+ or REDIAL/VOL- to select
ANSWER MACHINE
.
2. Press SELECT and then VOL+ or REDIAL/VOL- to select
DEL ALL OLD MSG
.
3. Press SELECT and the screen will display
DELETE ALL OLD MESSAGES?
.
4. Press SELECT to confirm.
NOTE
If there are no more messages in the answering machine, the handset will
display EMPTY then return to the previous menu.
4.4 Recording a memo
You can record your memo message for another user. When you record a
memo, the message counter will increase by one and the message can be
played back in the same way as answering machine messages. Memo recording
can still function even when the answering machine is turned off.
1. Press MENU and then VOL+ or REDIAL/VOL- to select
ANSWER MACHINE
.
2. Press SELECT and then VOL+ or REDIAL/VOL- to select
RECORD MEMO
.
3. Press SELECT to start memo recording and
RECORDING
is displayed with the
announcement, “Record the message after the tone.”
4. Press SELECT to stop memo recording and save the memo.
4.5 Answering machine settings
You can use the ANSWER MACHINE menu through the handset to change the
settings of your answering machine.
4.5.1 Setting the answer mode
By default, the answering machine is set in ANNC & RECORD mode which
allows callers to leave a message. This mode can be changed to ANSWER
ONLY which does not allow callers to leave a message. In that case, your callers
will be prompted to call back later.
1. Press MENU and then VOL+ or REDIAL/VOL- to select
ANSWER MACHINE
.
2. Press SELECT and then VOL+ or REDIAL/VOL- to select
ANSWER MODE
.
3. Press SELECT and then VOL+ or REDIAL/VOL- to select
ANNC & RECORD
or
ANNOUNCE ONLY
.
4. Press SELECT to confirm.
