PTT settings To turn PTT on or off from your home screen, press s > w Settings > PTT Settings > PTT Service > On/Off. To prevent accidental PTT calls, you can lock your PTT key and keypad. To lock your keypad, long press the * key. To unlock your keypad press Unlock > *. If you do not press the PTT key within a minute of unlocking it, it re-locks. You can change your PTT menu and call preferences.

Press the Record key and say the contact’s name (within six seconds). You can use your phone’s handsfree speaker to make calls without holding the phone to your ear. Your phone’s four-digit unlock code is originally set to 1234. The six-digit security code is originally set to 000000.

This lets you use games or other applications, or use the digital audio player to listen to music while you are on an aeroplane, without interfering with aeroplane communications. When your phone rings, press the Delay key. Your phone stops ringing and plays a brief message for the caller, such as “Please hold, your call will be answered in a moment.” The call remains on hold until you press the Talk key.

Your phone shows the caller’s name and picture when they’re stored in your contacts, or Incoming Call when caller ID information isn’t available. You can set your phone to play a different ringer ID for an entry stored in your contacts (see page 81). To show or hide your phone number from the next person you call, enter the phone number and press Options > Hide ID/Show ID.
