Sometimes we think of ways to make
your phone’s software faster or more efficient
after you’ve purchased your phone.
Notes:
•Downloading and applying a
software update can take up to 5
minutes. During this time, you
cannot make or receive phone calls,
including emergency 911 calls.
• Software updates do not affect your
Contacts entries or other personal
entries.

To check for and download software
updates:
Find it:
Press MENU ( s )  D SETTINGS & TOOLS
 Phone Info
1 Scroll to Software Update and press OK ( s ).
2 Scroll to Check New and press OK ( s ).
3 When prompted, press OK ( s ) to
download the software update.
When downloading is complete, your
phone’s screen shows a three-minute
countdown timer along with
OK and Defer
options.
4 To install the software update
immediately
, press OK .
or
To install the software update at a time
within the next 24 hours that you
specify
, press Defer , then specify an
installation time within the next 24 hours.
Your phone will install the software
update at the time you set.
If you don’t press
OK or Defer , your phone
will automatically install the software
