CHAPTER 6 KEYBOARD WEDGE
INTERFACE
Introduction
This chapter provides instructions for programming the cradle for keyboard wedge host interface, used to
connect the cradle between the keyboard and host computer. The linear imager scanner translates the bar
code data into keystrokes, and transmits the information to the host computer via the cradle interface. The host
computer accepts the keystrokes as if they originated from the keyboard.
This interface adds bar code reading functionality to a system designed for manual keyboard input. In this
mode the keyboard keystrokes are simply passed through.
Throughout the programming bar code menus, default values are indicated with asterisks (
*).
