Transfer contacts Get all your contacts, all in one place. Here’s a few helpful hints: • Use MOTOBLUR When you create a MOTOBLUR account, all your contacts from the online accounts you add (like Gmail, Facebook, etc.) are automatically downloaded to your phone. If you already have a MOTOBLUR account, just sign-in on your new Motorola phone and all of your contacts will be re-loaded. Send & receive attachments To send a file in a message, open a new message and touch Menu > Insert. When you receive a message with an attachment, open the message and touch the file name to download it. Then, touch the name again to open it. Set your location sources Get directions Set your phone to determine your location using GPS satellite signals (highly accurate, but uses battery power) or using the mobile network (less accurate, but conserves battery power). Apps for all Manage & restore apps get the app you want Find it: Note: You may not have some features depending on your service provider. There are lots of apps available and many are free. So you might find that you have downloaded and installed lots of apps on your phone. That’s fine, but you may want to uninstall apps that you no longer use.
• In Market, check the apps’ ratings and comments before installing. This will help you choose the best ones for you. Bluetooth™ wireless • If you doubt the safety of an app, don't install it. You may need to try different channels after your hotspot is active for a time.

When you connect your phone or type the MPP URL into your computer’s browser, you’ll see the MPP home screen. Open your recent activity (Home), Contacts, Photos, Settings, File Manager, or Support. Open details about your phone’s network signal, battery, or memory. Connect through a Wi-Fi network Note: Most public Wi-Fi networks (like the ones at coffee shops) don’t let devices connect to each other. In that case, you need a USB cable connection.
If you have Motorola MediaLink, it will launch instead of MPP. To use MPP, right-click in your task bar, select “when the phone connects, launch,” and choose MPP. Disconnect and reconnect your phone to launch MPP. Find it: > Alarm & timer To turn on an alarm, touch the check box. When an alarm sounds, drag Dismiss to turn it off or touch the screen to snooze.
Add calendar events Management From any view, touch Menu > More > New event. Enter the event start time and other details. You can even set a reminder so you don’t forget about the event. (When you set the reminder time to 0 minutes, it plays at the event start time.) stay in control Tip: Reminders will play only if you’ve selected a notification ringtone (see “Ringtones” on page 41). When you finish entering event details, touch Save.
• Using your phone: You may get an automatic notification of an available update on your phone. Follow the instructions to download and install. To manually check for updates, touch Menu Settings > About phone > System updates. Note: To make any call, including an emergency call, the network setting for your phone must be the same as the local wireless network. For example, in Europe, set the phone’s network to GSM. > Your phone downloads any updates over your mobile network.
Security Screen lock help keep your phone safe Note: You can make emergency calls on a locked phone (“Contacts” on page 16). A locked phone still rings, but you need to unlock it to answer. Forgot your pattern or passcode? PUK code In the password unlock screen, from the home screen, touch Menu > Forgot passcode? to unlock your phone with your MOTOBLUR email address and MOTOBLUR password, or follow the onscreen instructions. To unlock your SIM PIN, you need to enter your PIN unlock code (PUK code) when prompted.

• Any cellular phone with a serial number that has been removed, altered, or obliterated. • Defects or damages caused by food spills or liquids. • When the cables of the control unit have been stretched or the module tongue-piece has broken. • When the surface of the “Product” and its pieces have been scratched or damaged due to normal use. • Leather cases. • Rented cellular phones. • When the “Product” has been altered or repaired by non-Motorola authorized service centers.
