Configuring TCP/IP
Make sure all client computers are configured for TCP/IP, which is a protocol for
communication between computers. Perform one of the following for the operating
system you are running:
Configuring TCP/IP in Windows 2000
Configuring TCP/IP in Windows XP
Configuring TCP/IP in Windows Vista
For Macintosh or UNIX systems, follow the instructions in the applicable
Macintosh or UNIX user documentation.
After configuring TCP/IP on your computer, you must verify the IP address. Perform
one of the following:
Verifying the IP Address in Windows 2000 or Windows XP
Verifying the IP Address in Windows Vista
For Macintosh or UNIX systems, follow the instructions in the applicable
Macintosh or UNIX user documentation.
Configuring TCP/IP in Windows 2000
1. Select Control Panel from either the Windows Start menu or Windows Desktop
to display the Control Panel window.
2. Double-click Network and Dial-up Connections to display the Network and Dial-up
Connections window.
