Phone Options
Automatic Answer
This feature can make using your phone in the car truly hands-
free. Turn Auto Answer ON to have your phone automatically
answer incoming calls after two ring cycles.
Note: We recommend you use this feature with vehicle accesso-
ries and the ringer active (pg. 69). For instance, if you leave your
phone unattended with this feature ON or do not hear the incom-
ing call alert, your phone may answer a call in your absence.
Instant Redial
When placing calls, you may at times hear a fast busy signal and see
Press SND to Redial. This probably means the network is tem-
porarily unable to handle your call. If you press
æ your phone will
try the number for the next four minutes or until the call goes
through. But if you turn this feature ON, your phone will take care of
the redialing for you! There’s no need even to press
æ.
Keep in mind: This feature redials only when the network is
busy. If you hear a normal busy signal, this feature will not work.
