IftheChannelFreeIndicationfeatureisenabled,youwill
hearashortalerttonethemomentthetransmittingradio
releasesthePTTbutton,indicatingthechannelisnow
availableforuse.
3PressPTTbuttontotransmitnon-emergencyvoicetothe
samegroupthattheEmergencyAlarmwastargetedto.
Emergencyvoicecanonlybetransmittedbytheemergency
initiatingradio.Allotherradios(includingtheemergency
receivingradio)transmitnon-emergencyvoice.
TheLEDlightsupsolidgreen.Yourradioremainsinthe
Emergencymode.
4WaitfortheTalkPermitTonetoî‚¿nish(ifenabled)andspeak
clearlyintothemicrophone.
5ReleasethePTTbuttontolisten.
Whentheemergencyinitiatingradioresponds,theLED
blinksgreen,theLEDblinksgreen,theradiounmutesand
theresponsesoundsthroughtheradio'sspeaker.Yousee
theGroupCallicon,thegroupID,andtransmittingradioID
onyourdisplay.

SendinganEmergencyAlarm
ThisfeatureallowsyoutosendanEmergencyAlarm,a
non-voicesignal,whichtriggersanalertindicationonagroup
ofradios.
IfyourradioissettoSilent,itwillnotdisplayanyaudioorvisual
indicatorsduringEmergencymode.
PresstheprogrammedEmergencyOnbutton.
ThedisplayshowsTxAlarmandthedestinationalias.The
LEDlightsupsolidgreenandtheEmergencyiconappears
ontheHomescreendisplay.
WhenanEmergencyAlarmacknowledgementisreceived,the
EmergencytonesoundsandtheLEDblinksgreen.Thedisplay
showsAlarmSent.
IfyourradiodoesnotreceiveanEmergencyAlarm
acknowledgement,andafterallretrieshavebeenexhausted,a
tonesounds
andthedisplayshowsAlarmFailed.
RadioexitstheEmergencyAlarmmodeandreturnstothe
Homescreen.
