IfyourradiohasEmergencyCycleModeenabled,repetitions
ofhotmicandreceivingperiodaremadeforaprogrammed
duration.
Note:
DuringEmergencyCycleMode,received
callssoundthroughtheradio’sspeaker.
IfyoupressthePTTbuttonduringtheprogrammed
programmedreceivingperiod,youwillhearaprohibittone,
indicatingthatyoushouldreleasethePTTbutton.Theradio
ignoresthePTTpressandremainsinEmergencymode.
Note:
IfyoupressthePTTbuttonduringhotmic,
andcontinuetopressitafterthehotmic
durationexpires,theradiocontinuesto
transmituntilyoureleasethePTTbutton.
IfyourradioissettoSilent,itwillnotdisplayanyaudioorvisual
indicatorsduringEmergencymode,orallowanyreceivedcalls
tosoundthroughtheradio’sspeaker,untiltheprogrammedhot
mictransmissionperiodisover,andyoupressthePTTbutton.
IfyourradioissettoSilentwithVoice,itwillnotdisplayany
audioorvisualindicatorsduringEmergencymodewhenyou
aremakingthecallwithhotmic,butallowsoundthrough
theradio’sspeakerwhenthetargetradiorespondsafterthe
programmedhotmictransmissionperiodisover.Theindicators
willonlyappearwhenyoupressthePTTbutton.
Note:
IftheEmergencyAlarmrequestfails,the
radiodoesnotretrytosendtherequest,
andentersthehotmicstatedirectly.
1PresstheprogrammedEmergencyOnbutton.
ThedisplayshowsTxAlarmandthedestinationalias.
TheLEDlightsupsolidgreenandtheEmergencyiconis
displayed.
2OncethedisplayshowsAlarmSent,speakclearlyinto
themicrophone.
Whenhotmichasbeenenabled,theradioautomatically
transmitswithoutaPTTpressuntilthehotmicduration
expires.Whiletransmitting,theLEDlightsupsolidgreen
andtheEmergencyiconappearsonthedisplay.
3Theradioautomaticallystopstransmittingwhenthecycling
durationbetweenhotmicandreceivingcallsexpires,if
EmergencyCycleModeisenabled.
4Oncethehotmicdurationexpires,theradioautomatically
stopstransmitting.Totransmitagain,pressthePTTbutton.
