INSTALLATION MTM700/MTM800 Mobile Terminal / Installation Manual 51
Connection Plan for Accessory Connector Kit (GMBN1021)
Radios with expansion head (expansion head remote, motorcycle and databox models):
To use a junction box with one of the MTM700/MTM800 mobile terminals fitted with an expansion head,
always use the 9-pin RS232 port on the expansion head for PEI instead of the 9-pin RS232 port on the junc-
tion box (connector 6). Ensure to fit a jumper between pins 6 & 15 of the Junction Box (connector 5) for the
PEI to operate correctly in this configuration.
Standard radios without expansion head (dash/desk/standard remote models):
For standard MTM700/MTM800 mobile terminals without an expansion head, the jumper between pins 6 - 15
of the junction box (connector 5) should be removed.
