Configures VLAN interface IP configuration commands
Supported in the following platforms:
Access Points — AP300, AP621, AP622, AP650, AP6511, AP6521, AP6532, AP71XX, AP81XX
Wireless Controllers — RFS4000, RFS6000, RFS7000, NX9000, NX9500
Syntax
ip [address|dhcp|helper-address|nat]
ip helper-address <IP>
ip address [<IP/M>|dhcp|zerconf]
ip address [<IP/M>|zeroconf] {secondary}
ip dhcp client request options all
ip nat [inside|outside]
Parameters
• ip helper-address <IP>
• ip address [<IP/M> {secondary}|dhcp|zerconf {secondary}]
• ip dhcp client request options all
helper-address <IP> Enables DHCP and BOOTP forwarding for a set of clients. Configure a helper address on the
VLAN interface connected to the client. The helper address should specify the address of the
BOOTP or DHCP servers. If you have multiple servers, configure one helper address for each
server.
<IP> – Specify the IP address of the DHCP or BOOTP server.
address Sets the IP address for this VLAN interface. Select one of the following options to set or obtain
the IP address:
<IP/M> {secondary} Specify the interface IP address in the A.B.C.D/M format.
secondary – Optional. Sets the specified IP address as a secondary address
dhcp Uses a DHCP client to obtain an IP address for this interface
zerconf {secondary} Uses Zero Configuration Networking (zerconf) to generate an IP address for this interface
secondary – Optional. Sets the generated IP address as a secondary address
dhcp Uses a DHCP client to configure a request on this VLAN interface
client Configures a DHCP client
request Configures DHCP client request
options Configures DHCP client request options
all Configures all DHCP client request options
