MOTU PCI AUDIO CONSOLE
The MOTU PCI Audio Console application is
placed by the software installer in the folder you
specify during the installation process. If you aren’t
sure where it is on your hard drive, use the Find
command in the Windows Start menu.
The MOTU PCI Audio Console gives you access to
all of the basic settings in your PCI-424 card and
the audio interface(s) connected to it, such as clock
source settings and routing to and from the
computer.

THE MOTU PCI WDM AUDIO DRIVER
The MOTU PCI WDM Audio Driver provides
standard multi-channel input and output for any
Windows audio program that support multi-
channel WDM audio or Wave drivers. See
chapter 8, “Sonar and other WDM software”
(page 83) for details.
The PCI-424 installer disc installs the MOTU PCI
WDM Audio Driver into Windows for you.
ASIO MOTU PCI DRIVER
ASIO stands for Audio Streaming Input and Output.
The ASIO MOTU PCI driver allows the PCI-424
audio card to do multi-channel input and output
with Steinberg’s Cubase software, or any other
audio application that supports ASIO drivers.
The ASIO MOTU PCI driver is only required if you
are using Cubase (or another audio program that
depends on the ASIO driver to do multi-channel
I/O with the PCI-424 system).
The PCI-424 software installer correctly installs
the ASIO driver, so all you have to do is run the
installer to use it.

CUEMIX CONSOLE
This program provides a mixing console that gives
you control over the PCI-424 card’s no-latency
CueMix DSP features. For details, see “CueMix
DSP hardware monitoring” on page 94.
SETUP WIZARD
Check out the Setup Wizard. It helps you figure out
how to connect your gear to the PCI-424 audio
interfaces, and it even configures the PCI-424
driver for you based on your setup.
