N.B.: Fruits or vegetables should always be
fed in while the motor is running and added
continuously during use.
. Special funnel position for little fruits such
as gooseberries: turn the upper casing lid
(A) over and engage it on the feeder tube (B3).
. Speed selector (H) (depending on the
model).
To produce a smoother juice with maximum
result, use the table below to select the speed
suitable for the fruits or vegetables to be
juiced:
Melon, watermelon 1
Cucumber, kiwi 2
Capsicum, tomato, pear,
peach, onion, orange, lemon 3
Pineapple, carrot, strawberry,
celery, grape 4
For any fruits or vegetables missing from this
table, use speed 3 or 4 to achieve best results.
Practical advice
- Wash and prepare all fruits and vegetables.
. peel oranges, lemons, grapefruits, melons
(no pips), pineapples (minus the central
core), cucumber.
. remove the stones from peaches, plums,
apricots.
. cut fruits and vegetables into small pieces if
necessary.
-
For a better result, softly push the pusher (B1)
and clean the grater and filter unit (B4) after
each 0,5 kg of grapes or tomatoes.
It is impossible to extract juice from certain
fruits and vegetables: bananas, avocados,
aubergines, figs.
Natural juices should be consumed as soon
as possible after extraction, to best benefit
from the flavour and vitamins. To keep for a
few hours, we recommend the addition of
lemon juice.
Cleaning
- Unplug your appliance.
- Wait till the grater and filter unit (B4) has
stopped moving before dismantling the juice
extractor element (B). See paragraph
«Dismantling”. Remove the pulp collector (C)
and graduated juice jug (D) and empty.
- Never wash the motor unit (F) under water.
Wipe it with a damp cloth.
- Wash all the parts in hot water with added
washing-up liquid. All the parts are
dishwasher-safe.
- In order to clean the plastic elements
discoloured by fruits or vegetables, use
cooking oil.
- Before washing the grater and filter unit (B4),
use the soft brush (J) to remove pulp residue.
- With the same brush, clean the inside of the
pouring spout (B6) and then dry all the
pieces before reassembling.
. The Easy Clean position (certain models)
This position allows you to rinse the grater and
filter unit (B4) and the pouring spout (B6)
without dismantling the juice extractor element
(B) after use or when changing from one fruit
to another. This function does not replace the
cleaning of the parts, once the work is over.
- Set the speed selector (H) to «Easy Clean»
position.
- Start the juice extractor.
- Slowly pour water into the feeder tube (B3)
without passing the top level of the pulp
collector and the graduated juice jug (C and
D).
- Empty the pulp collector and the graduated
juice jug before next using the juice extractor.
Maintenance
The grater and filter unit (B4) is a delicate part:
avoid any careless handling that might
damage it.
To prevent any breakage of the grater and filter
unit, exchange it as soon as any signs of wear
and tear appear. You can find your replace-
ment part at any Moulinex Centre (see the
handbook «Moulinex Service»).
Arrange for a replacement every two years
on average if you use the appliance on a daily
basis.
