You only need to peel fruit with thick (and bitter) skin: citrus fruit, pineapple (remove the centre stalk). - Certain types of apples, pears, tomatoes etc. will fit in the feed tube whole, thanks to the “Direct Fruit System” (74 mm maximum diameter), so choose the appropriate type of fruit or vegetable.
