The above error messages imply that the system resources are exhausted. You
should tune the kernel parameters to a larger value and rebuild the kernel to be
able to accommodate the new configuration. Refer to UNIX system manual
about how to tune the parameters and rebuild kernel.
“Time out table overflow”: NCALL parameter too small.
“File table overflow”: NFILE or NINODE parameter too small.
“Region table overflow”: NREGION or NPROC parameter too small.
5. The newly rebuilt kernel could not boot.
The C218Turbo driver might not be built into the new kernel correctly.
a. Please use the last good kernel backup to boot again. The kernel backup is
/unix.moxa in SCO UNIX, /stand/unix.moxa in UNIX SVR4.2, and
/xenix.moxa in XENIX.
b. Then remove the C218Turbo driver. Refer to Section “UNIX” of Chapter
“Software Installation” for driver removal.
c. Re-install the C218Turbo driver once more.
6. When using MOXA port for PPP/SLIP connection, what should the “On
Board Line Discipline” feature be set to?
Set to “Disable”. Otherwise the PPP/SLIP connection will fail.
