Static Port Lock Overview

To provide a port-based security function, Moxa’s switches have implemented Static Port Lock function; the

main idea is to allow configured devices, 128 at most, to access the network through a specific port. Packets

sent from unknown devices or from configured devices with mismatching ports will be dropped. In other

words, only the packets from the devices pre-configured with the specific MAC addresses can be sent to the

specific port to ensure a secured network data transmission scenario.

Static Port Lock Settings and Status

To configure these setting, first click the Port Security tab and then click General.
