IP Address Report
When WE-2100T is used in a dynamic IP environment, users must spend more time with IP
management tasks. For example, WE-2100T works as a server (TCP or UDP), and the host, which
acts as a client, must know the IP address of the server. If the DHCP server assigns a new IP
address to the server, the host must take care of what happens when the IP changes. WE-2100T
helps out by periodically reporting their IP address to the IP location server, in case the dynamic
IP has changed. The parameters shown below are used to configure the Auto IP report function.
There are two ways to develop an “Auto IP report Server” to receive WE-2100T’s Auto IP report.
1. Use Network Enabler Administrator’s IP Address Report function.
2. Refer to Appendix C for the “Auto IP report protocol” to develop your own software.
