A Network ports and protocols
PS Series groups use a number of TCP and UDP protocols for group management, I/O operations, and
internal communication. If you have switches or routers set to block these protocols, you may need to
unblock them to allow management or I/O operations to work correctly. The required and optional
protocols are listed in the following sections.

A.2 Optional ports and protocols
Table 20 lists the optional ports and protocols used for management and alerts. They are not required for
correct array operation, however blocking a port may reduce specific functionality.
