Known issues with
firmware v4.7 fdr 35
54
6.11.16. Some tagged user frames may be stripped of
their VLAN tag during PM in FE mode
(BZ#: 8156)
Description: This misbehavior has been observed for a small percentage of tagged user frames when
the Management Vid has a value in the range 1-255; untagged user frames are unaffected.
Suggested Work-Around: Set the Management Vid to a value in the range 256-4094.
Customer Impact: Minor inconvenience.
Corrective Action: This issue will be addressed in a future software upgrade.
6.11.17. EM316EUSM: Some firmware commands not
applicable.
(BZ#: 8167)
Description: 'firmware reload' and 'firmware swap-primary' commands are not applicable to the 1G-
EUSM module. The downloaded rev file contains more than just the fpga firmware, and the 1G-EUSM
doesn't support reloading only the FPGA firmware. The 1G-EUSM has a single firmware bank, so it doesn't
support bank swapping. The LNXNM platform doesn't allow selective removal of these commands. When
execution is attempted, the user gets a 'Command failed' indication.
Suggested Work-Around: None.
Customer Impact: Minimal. Informational only.
Corrective Action: None.
6.11.18. Warning messages after downgrading to
v4.7fdr17
(BZ#: 9381)
Description: User downgrades the NM software to v4.7fdr17 from v4.7fdr30 or above. The EUSM
module gives continuous warning messages about failing to get MAC statistics.
Suggested Work-Around: Issuing a reset warm command to the EUSM clears the warning
messages.
Customer Impact: Minor.
Corrective Action: This issue will be addressed in future software upgrades.
