Getting Started
A selected subset of the standard Linux distribution tailored for embedded development and
deployment, with LynuxWorks cross-development and embedding tools. Components are
selected to ensure functionality, reliability, and maintainability, both on the host and target
side. BlueCat Linux is configurable to meet varied requirements for kernel size, hardware
configurations, boot method, and other embedded requirements. It uses the Red Hat Package
Manager (RPM) to allow customized installations on the development system.
