APIC Mode
This item is used to enable or disable the APIC (Advanced Programmable
Interrupt Controller). Due to compliance to PC2001 design guide, the system
is able to run in APIC mode. Enabling APIC mode will expand available IRQs
resources for the system. Available options are [Enabled] and [Disabled].
MPS Version Control For OS
This item allows you to select which MPS (Multi-Processor Specification)
version to be used for the operating system. You need to select the MPS
version supported by your operating system. To find out which version to
use, consult the vendor of your operating system. Available options are [1.
4] and [1.1].
OS Select For DRAM > 64MB
This item is set for the users running OS/2
®
operating system. When set to
[Non-OS2], you can not run the OS/2
®
operating system when DRAM in-
stalled is larger than 64 MB. When set to [OS2], it is possible. Available
options are [Non-OS2] and [OS2].
Video BIOS Shadow
This item allows you to increase the video performance by caching the data
from video ROM to Shadow RAM. When set to [Enabled], the system ob-
tains better video performance but, at this time, any program attempts to
write to this memory area will cause a system error. Available options are
[Disabled] and [Enabled].
C8000-CBFFF/CC000-CFFFF/D0000-D3FFF/D4000-D7FFF/D8000-
DBFFF/DC000-DFFFF Shadow
These items specify whether the contents of the adapter ROM named in the
items will be copied into RAM to improve the performance of ROM firmware
for adapters. You need to know the address of each adapter ROM occupies
to shadow (copy) it into the correct area of RAM. Available options are
[Disabled] and [Enabled].
