The motherboard provides the following jumpers/buttons for you to set the
computers function. This section will explain how to change your motherboards
function through the use of jumpers/buttons.
Clear CMOS Button: SW_BAT1
CMOS stands for Complementary Metal-Oxide Semiconductor and is more spe-
cifically referred to as CMOS RAM. It is a tiny 64-byte region of memory that, owing
to battery power, retains system configuration data when the PC is shut off. With the
CMOS RAM, the system can automatically boot OS every time it is turned on. If you
want to clear the system configuration, press the SW_BAT1 button to have the data
erased.

You can clear CMOS by pressing this button while the system is off.
Avoid clearing CMOS while the system is on; it will damage the
mainboard.
