3�3 Creating a Second IM or IME Volume
The LSI Logic SAS controllers allow you to congure two IM or IME volumes. If one
volume is already congured, and if there are available disk drives, there are two ways
to add a second volume.
The rst is as follows:
In the conguration utility, select an adapter from the Adapter List. Select the
RAID Properties option. This will display the current volume.
Press C to create a new volume.
Continue with step 4 of the IM or IME creation procedure in the previous section
to create a second volume.
The other way in which to add a second volume is as follows:
On the Adapter List screen, use the arrow keys to select an LSI Logic SAS
adapter.
Press Enter to go to the Adapter Properties screen, shown in Figure 3.1.
On the Adapter Properties screen, use the arrow keys to select RAID Properties
and press Enter.
Continue with step 4 of the IM or IME creation procedure in the previous section
to create a second volume.
