SECTION3: ASSEMBLING YOURLAWNMOWER I_ Loos8 ?alts Once the carton is opened, you will find several loose parts like the wheels, handles, and chute deflector. A hardware pack is also included in the carton. Make sure to remove all loose parts before discarding the carton. Follow instructions below to attach these loose parts to your mower safely and properly for best performance.

Place the lower handle over the handle bracket Lower Handle Nuts assemblies and position each handle bracket assembly stud into the bottom hole in the lower handle. 3. Secure with the wing nuts from group 1 of the hardware pack. See Figure 3. NOTE: Each end of the lower handle must be placed in the same relative position. Attaching"Z" Fitting 3. Hold the cable end near the left side of the upper handle and hook the "Z" end of the brake cable into the blade control handle from the inside to outside. See Figure 7A. SECTION4: OPERATING YOURLAWNMOWER g ow lawnmows Now that you have set up your lawn mower for operation, get acquainted with its controls and features. These are described below and illustrated in Figure 11. This knowledge will allow you to use your new equipment to its fullest potential. Blade Control Handle Upper Handle Recoil Starter BladeControlHandle The blade control handle is attached to the upper handle of the mower. Depress the blade control handle to operate the unit.

ARNING: 8 Ii £ Always stop engine, disconnect spark plug, and ground against engine before performing Hsi£1t Height Adjustment Each wheel has a height adjustment lever to change the cutting height of the mower. 1. Depress the lever towards the wheel and slide the lever assembly to desired position for a change in cutting height. See Figure 13. IMPORTANT: All wheels must be placed in the same relative position.
SECTION6: MAINTAINING YOURLAWNMOWER Gss® alS88ommssdatioss • • • • • Always observe safety rules when performing any maintenance. The warranty on this lawn mower does not cover items that have been subjected to operator abuse or negligence. To receive full value from the warranty, operator must maintain the lawn mower as instructed here. Changing of engine-governed speed will void engine warranty. All adjustments should be checked at least once each season.

Periodically inspect the blade adapter for cracks, especially if you strike a foreign object. Replace when necessary. Follow the steps below for blade service. Disconnect spark plug wire from spark plug. Turn mower on its side making sure that the air filter and the carburetor are up.
