a heavy rag to hold the blade.
Periodicallyinspectthebladeadapterfor cracks,
especiallyif you strikea foreignobject,Replacewhen
necessary,Followthe stepsbelowfor bladeservice,
1, Disconnectsparkplugwire fromsparkplug,Turn
moweron itsside makingsurethatthe airfilterand
the carburetorareup,
2, Removethe boltand the bladebellsupportwhich
holdthe bladeandthe bladeadapterto the engine
crankshaft,SeeFigure4,
3, Removebladeandadapterfromthecrankshaft,
4, The bladecan be sharpenedwitha file oron agrind:
ingwheel Do notattemptto sharpenthe bladewhileit
is stillonthe mower,
5, Whensharpeningthe blade,followthe originalangle
of grind, Grindeachcuttingedgeequallyto keepthe
bladebalanced,
6, Removebladefromthe adapterfor testingbalance,
7, Balancethebladeona roundshaftscrewdriverto
check,Removemetalfromthe heavyside untilit
balancesevenly,
