Be certain to service engine with gasoline and oil as instructed in the separate engine manual before operating your mower. NOTE: Reference to right or left hand side of the mower is observed from the operating position. Attaching Starter Rope The rope guide is attached to the right side of upper handle. Loosen the wing nut which secures the rope guide. See Figure 5. Starter Rope Handle Nut Rope Guide Handle Slip the openings in the side of the plastic channel on bag over the hooks on the grass catcher frame. Secure bag to the frame by working the six plastic channels on bag over frame. All the plastic channels attach from the outside of bag. See Figure 6.

Let go of discharge door so that it rests on the grass catcher. See Figure 10. To remove the grass catcher, lift the rear discharge door on the mower and lift the grass catcher up. The spark plug should be cleaned and the gap reset once a season. Spark plug replacement is recommended at the start of each mowing season. The blade can be tested by balancing it on a round shaft screwdriver. Remove metal from the heavy side until it balances evenly. It is recommended that the blade always be removed from the adapter when testing for balance.
