Contour Transitions
With inside corners, the corrected NC-block transition point is based on
the point at which the lines parallel to the contours intersect.

The tool center point must travel around outside corners so that they are
not damaged.
Two methods can be used to accomplish this:
1. Insertion of an arc as the transition element by using NC-command
G43, and
2. Insertion of a chamfer as the transition element by using NC-com-
mand G44. A chamfer cannot be inserted unless the transition is
straight line
straight line. A chamfer is used as the transition ele-
ment when the transition angle between the two straight lines is
greater than 90°. If the transition angle is less than 90°, the NC-block
transition point is recalculated based on the intersection point of the
lines parallel to the contour.

Outside corners
