NOZZLE HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
The nozzlecan beadjustedtoany sixpositions,rangingfrom5/8" to4
1/8"groundclearance.The nozzleheighthastobeadjustedaccording
toyard conditions.
1. Depressnozzleheightadjustmentlevertowardswheel.SeeFigure
17.
2. Movethe heightadjustmentleverforwardorbackwardto adjustthe
nozzleupwardsordownwards.Makesureboth leversareinthe
sameposition.
3. Releaselevertowardsdeck.
NOTE:In general,raisethe nozzleheightto vacuuma thick layerof
leavesor to operatewiththe blowerchute.Lowerthe nozzleheightfor
smoothersurfaces.
DRIVE CONTROL
CABLE ADJUSTMENT
Adjustthedrivecontrolcable iftheyardvacuumdoes notselfpropel
withthedrivecontrolengaged,or iftheunit hesitateswhiletheengine
maintainsthesamespeedafterapproximately20 hoursof use.
To movethez-fittingof thedrive controlcablefromitsfactoryset
positioninthefrontholeofthedrivecontroltotherearhole,proceed
as follows:
1. a. Pushtheright sideof thecontrolout of theright holeintheupper
handle.SeeFigure18A.
b. Pivotcontroldowntowardsthe lowerhandle.
c. Pivotstraightup to removeit fromtheleft holeinthe upper
handle.SeeFigure18A.
2. Graspthe z-fittingwithyourhandandmoveit fromthe frontholeto
the rearholeof the drivecontrol.SeeFigure18B.
IMPORTANT:Makesureto insertthe z-fittingintothe rearholeas
it wasinsertedinthe fronthole,thatis fromthe outside of thedrive
control.
3. Reinstallthe drivecontrolbyperformingthe previoussteps inthe
oppositeorderand mannerof removal.
IMPORTANT:Onceassembledandpriorto restarting,makesure that
the cable is properlyadjusted.Withthe drivecontroldisengaged,the
unitshouldfreelypullin reverse.
