Runningengine produces heat.
Engine parts, especially muffler,
become extremely hot. Severe
thermal burns can occur on
contact. Combustibledebris,
such as leaves, grass, brush, etc.,
can catch fire.
* Allow muffler,enginecylinder,andfinsto cool before
touching.

can sufferburnsfroma hot muffler.
Removeaccumulatedcombustiblesfrommufflerand
cylinderarea.

contactor entangle hands, feet,
hair, clothing,or accessories.

Do notwear loose-fittingclothing,danglingdraw-

arm toward engine faster than
you can let go. Broken bones,
fractures, bruisesor sprains
could result.
Whenstartingengine,pullcordslowlyuntil resis-
tanceisfelt,then pullrapidly.
Removeall externalequipment/engineloadsbefore
startingengine.
Directcoupledequipmentcomponentssuchas, but
not limitedto blades,impellers,pulleys,sprockets,
etc.,mustbesecurelyattached.
