Step 14. Pivot the control arm down away from the
pulley and belt.

Step 15. Lift off the lower pulley assembly and remove
the old belt from around the crankshaft.

16. Place the new belt over the transmission
pulley. Start the belt in the pulley groove and
rotate the pulley untilthe belt is seated in the
transmission pulley.
17. Place the belt between the idler pulley and
the belt keeper bracket.
18. Using pliers, rotate the belt keeper bracket so
that it snaps into slot on the idler bracket.
19. Tighten the idler pulley bolt and lock nut half
a turn using two 7/16" wrenches.

Step 20. Place the belt between the two pulley halves
on the crankshaft. Make sure to route the belt
inside the belt guard pin.

IMPORTANT: When replacing the belt, do not disas-
semble the lower pulley assembly.
