Unguarded rotating and moving engine components.

• Before barring the engine, ensure that nobody is in the danger zone.

WARNING

Fuels are combustible.

Risk of fire and explosion!

• Avoid naked flames, electrical sparks and ignition sources.

• Do not smoke.

Preparatory steps

1. Shut off fuel supply line before fuel filter.

2. Remove engine control system (→ Page 6 – 63).

3. Drain fuel (→ Page 6 – 22).

4. Remove charge-air manifold and all seals.
