6.13.2 Engine oil level check

Preconditions

• Engine is stopped and starting disabled.

Oil level check prior to engine start

1. Withdraw dipstick from guide tube and wipe it.

2. Insert dipstick into guide tube to stop, withdraw

after approx. 10 seconds and check oil level.

3. Oil level must be between "min." and "max."

marks.

4. If necessary, top up to "max." mark

(→ Page 6 – 39).

5. Insert dipstick into guide tube to stop.

Oil level check after the engine is stopped

1. 5 minutes after stopping the engine, remove oil dipstick from the guide tube and wipe it.

2. Insert dipstick into guide tube to stop, withdraw after approx. 10 seconds and check oil level.

3. Oil level must be between "min." and "max." marks.

4. If necessary, top up to "max." mark (→ Page 6 – 39).

5. Insert dipstick into guide tube to stop.
