6.14.1 Engine oil filter – Replacement

Preconditions

• Engine is stopped and starting disabled.

WARNING

Hot engine oil.

Engine oil can contain combustion residues which are harmful to health.

Risk of injury and scalding!

• Wear protective clothing, gloves, and goggles / safety mask.

• Avoid contact w ith skin.

• Do not inhale oil vapor.

Engine oil filter – Replacement

1. Remove oil filter using the strap wrench.

2. Clean the sealing surface of the filter head.

3. Check condition of the new sealing ring and

oat it with oil.

4. Install and tighten new oil filter by hand.

5. Replace further oil filters in the same way.

6. After each oil change and filter replacement,

bar the engine using the starting device

(→ Page 6 – 02).
