Charge-air coolant draining
1. Provide an appropriate container to drain the
coolant into.
2. Turn breather valve of filler neck on coolant
expansion tank counterclockwise to first stop
and allow pressure to escape.
3. Continue to turn breather valve counterclockwise
and remove.
4. Draw off precipitated corrosion inhibitor oil from
the expansion tank through filler neck.
5. Open drain cocks and drain plugs and drain
coolant at the following points:
at the LT cooling pump
at the coolant lines to and from the intercooler
6. Draining of residual coolant:
at the intercooler
7. Close all drain valves and install drain plugs with
new sealing rings.
8. Set breather valve onto filler neck and close it.
