6.5.1 HP pump  relief bore check

DANGER

Unguarded rotating and moving engine components.

Risk of serious injury  danger to life!

 Take special care when working on a running engine.

WARNING

Engine noise above 85 dB (A).

Risk of damage to hearing!

 Wear ear protectors.

HP pump  relief bore check

1. Check relief bore for oil and fuel discharge

by visual inspection.

2. If relief bore is found dirty, stop the engine,

disable engine start, and clean relief bore.

3. For assessment of fluids discharge consider

the following:

 Heavy discharge is continuous discharge of

fluids (leakage). Contact Service.

Small discharge of fluids up to 10 drops per

day is normal and not considered a leakage.
