7.6.2 HP pump – Relief bore check
DANGER
Rotating and moving engine parts.
Risk of crushing, danger of parts of the body being caught or pulled in.
• Only run the engine at low power. Keep away from the engine's danger zone.
WARNING
A high level of noise is produced when the engine is running.
Risk of damage to hearing.
• Wear ear defenders.
HP pump – Relief bore check
1. Check relief bore for oil and fuel discharge
by visual inspection.
2. If relief bore is contaminated, stop the en-
gine, disable engine start, and clean relief
bore.
3. Note the following in case of fluid dis-
charge:
• Heavy discharge means continuous dis-
charge of fluids (leakage). Contact Serv-
ice.
• Minor discharge of fluids up to 10 drops
per day is normal (moistening) and not
considered a leakage.
