INSTALLATION
The MUD6SPBT can be used with any 12-volt battery and can be mounted to a variety of bars using
the included hardware. The unit has three wires in its wiring pigtail. The red wire, hot, should
be directly connected to the vehicles positive battery terminal, the black wire, ground, should be
connected directly to the vehicle’s chassis where paint has been removed or the negative terminal
on the battery, and the blue wire, accessory, should be connected to the ignition wire on the vehicle.
The unit includes two patent pending low clearance brackets that t 1.75" and 2" bars. The clamps
can be used on either the top channel, rear channel, or bottom channel and each channel can be
adjusted to t multiple types of bars including vertical, horizontal, or angled bars allowing for multiple
installation options.
Mounting
1. Via Pipe Clamp (Bracket)
2. Via Hex Bolt through Dove Tail Piece
Mounting via Pipe Clamp (Bracket)
• Take 14 mm bolt with lock washer and place it through bottom of clamp and slightly thread into
Dove tailed piece.
• Slide assembly and lock washer into one of the three dove tail recessed areas placing the
unit at angle/mounting location to dial in bracket angle and placement.
• Tighten bolt down 95in.lbs. / 8ft.lbs. max to securely hold bracket in place.
• Do this for both brackets as two are included with each speaker bar. NO less that two should
be used during installation.
• Place bracket strap over the bar the unit will be mounted to. Note: Placing the included plastic bag
between the strap clamp and bar will reduce the possibilty of scratching the bar during installation.
• Place the ange end bolt through the bracket strap and base. Tighten down with the included
serrated ange nut until the bar is securely locked in place.
• Connect wires to power, ground, and ignition.
Mounting Via Hex Bolt through Dove Tail Piece
1. Included are two hex bolts that t into the dove tails.
2. Slide dove tails with bolts in to one of the three recessed areas.
3. Place bolts in location where the unit is to be tightened down.
4. Use included lock washer and nuts to secure into place.
5. Tighten nut 95in.lbs. / 8ft.lbs. max so unit is secure.
6. Connect wires to power, ground, and ignition
