Alcan Multiplexed Overhead Service and Secondary Cables are
constructed of:
• Phaseconductorsofeithersolidorcompressedstranded1350
H-19 (hard drawn) aluminum complying with ASTM-B230 and
ASTM-B231.
• Highmolecularweight-lowdensitypolyethyleneorblack
low density crosslinked polyethylene insulation on the phase
conductor.HighDensityPolyethyleneinsulationisavailable
upon request.
• Abareneutralconductorofstrandedallaluminum(AAC),
aluminum conductor steel reinforced (ACSR),
or aluminum alloy conductor (6201).
• Oneormoreinsulatedconductorstwistedaroundtheneutral
conductorwitharighthandlaylengthof25to60timesthe
diameter of one phase conductor.
Product Markings:
Each cable assembly will bear the following surface markings at
intervals not to exceed 24 inches:
• Alcan,(PlantofManufacture),(InsulationType),
(Year of Manufacture).
