SIESPACE Reported Faults
Faults Reported by SIESPACE
SIESPACE reports a comprehensive set of faults in order to diagnose problems and malfunctioning
equipment quickly. A brief description of each of the faults is given below, together with information for
maintenance engineers to aid diagnosis.
Sign Faults
Error Code Fault Name Meaning of Fault Maintenance Notes
100 Sign: Communication Error
The SIESPACE system is unable
to contact the sign in order to set
it, or verify its condition.
101 Sign: Invalid Legend Requested
A system that is 'driving' the sign
such as a parking zone or remote
system has requested a legend
that is not assigned to the sign.
102 Sign: OK
Not an error, sign has returned to
normal condition - this is only
visible inside the SIESPACE
database.
103 Sign: Invalid Legend Returned
Rotating Prism Sign may not
have rotated when attempting a
setting
104 Sign: Internal Fault
The sign processor (on a VMS
sign) has detected an internal
fault which it may not be able to
diagnose further. Alternatively the
sign may only be compliant to
Issue 1 of the SIEMENS UVMS
protocol - and hence unable to
accurately report the fault
condition.
105 Sign: Door Open
The cabinet door of the Sign has
been opened. Not all signs
support the cabinet door
detection facility.
