Sending a fax using a department code
For this operation to work, make sure:
•Thedepartmentcodeshouldbesetonyourmachine.
•Youknowthedepartmentcode.

Place your document on the ADF or document glass.
(See page 2-11 for details.)

Adjust the document resolution and contrast.

Enter the fax number by either pressing a one-touch key, entering a speed-dial num-
ber or manually dialing it.

Press <Start>. (If you pressed a one-touch key, no need to press <Start>.)

Use the numeric keys to enter the appropriate department code.

Press <Start>.
NOTE: The document glass is available only for the MFX-1950.
Making a copy using a department code
For this operation to work, make sure:
•Thedepartmentcodeshouldexistonyourmachine
•Youknowthedepartmentcode

Place your document on the ADF or document glass and adjust settings.

Use the numeric keys to enter the number of copies.

Press <Start>.
Enter Dept.Code

Use the numeric keys to enter the appropriate department code.
