Replacing the drum cartridge
The drum cartridge yields approximately 20,000 pages. When the drum is near the end
of life, the machine shows “Replace Drum Soon” on the LCD. You should obtain a replace-
ment drum cartridge soon. When the machine shows “Replace Drum”, it cannot print
until the drum cartridge is replaced.
To replace the drum cartridge:

Open the side cover and front cover.

Turn the toner cartridge locking lever to the left (unlock position), then pull the toner
cartridge out. The toner cartridge must be removed to replace the drum cartridge.

Pull the used drum cartridge out.

Unpack the new drum cartridge from its carton and slide it into the machine firmly
until it locks into place completely.
