Insert the documents face up, top edge first.

Adjust the document guides to the document
size.
Loading the document on the glass
The document glass is available only for the MFX-1950.

Make sure there are no documents in
the adf.

Lift the platen cover.

Place the document face down on the
document glass. The document should
be aligned to the upper left corner.

Gently close the platen cover.
IMPORTANT: When copying a bound document, such as a book, the copied image may contain
some black areas. To reduce this effect, hold down the document to prevent its
bound part from rising. However, do not press too strongly. This may break the
document glass and cause personal injury.
