Assembly
The DC supply has to be mounted to ensure the required
cooling. A minimum distance of 40 mm has to be
maintained between the vent opening and adjacent units.
Installation has to be done to ensure sufficient ventilation.
The ambient temperature specified must not be exceeded.
Max. altitude without derating is 1000 m o. NN. In case
drilling chips can get on respectively inside the unit, the unit
has to be covered during assembly.
(Risk of short circuit!)
Deinstallation
For disassembly the supply voltage at the MB Cap Ultra 3/24 7s has to be switched off. The unit
will then buffer the load until the capacitors are discharged. Directly after discharge lighting of the
LED 'operation' and flashing of the LED ' U >' will indicate the voltage-free output. The LEDs
will go off when the residual charge of the capacitor is consumed.

Never disconnect electrical connections during operation!
Establishing electrical connections during operation must also be avoided! Even long
after the modules were disconnected a big amount of energy may be stored. When
working on the modules make sure there is no power. If necessary discharge the
capacitors by means of a discharge resistor at max. nominal current.
Maintenance
The unit does not include any components that require maintenance by the user.
The unit should be regularly cleaned.
Operation
After switching on the U at the MB Cap Ultra 3/24 7s the capacitor is charged (see instruction
manual MB Cap Ultra 3/24 7s).
We recommend not to increase the total buffer energy over 5 kJ as the charging time will increase
with the extended capacity.

Short description
Safety Instructions
Read the manual before use respectively installation of the unit and follow the instructions!
Nonobservance will cause the loss of any warranty claim!
Installation, start-up, and maintenance work must be carried out by qualified personnel.
The relevant VDE regulations, in particular DIN VDE 0100 and EN 60204 have to be observed!
Incoming and outgoing cables should have the appropriate dimensions and have to be secured
(Data see Technical Data)!
The unit is designed for building-in. Operation is permitted in a dry environment only.
The admissible ambient temperature range must not be exceeded.
The unit should only be opened by qualified personnel.
In case of failure we recommend to send the unit to the manufacturer.
Even a long time after the unit was disconnected a great amount of energy may be stored.
Before disassembling the unit the capacitors have to be controlled and discharged!
When short-circuiting the capacitors there is a risk of heat development and flying sparks!
Nonobservance of the safety instruction can cause death, injuries, or damage to persons or
property.
